The meta-menu

After startup, Jinx presents the meta-menu. It mainly contains commands which operate on a database as a whole like opening, joining, sorting etc. If there is a database current, the data part of the screen will show the data in the database on a record per line basis. The data is there to give a global overview. When you have `long' records that don't fit on the screen, you can move the view on the data right (left) by typing ⇒ ( ⇐). Data may also be layed out in columns (see View toggle, section [*]).

You can page back- and forward through the data with the commands prev and next. The current record is indicated by a `>' in the first column. Move to the next (previous) record with ⇓ (⇑).
